I went to install the Cubase SX3 upgrade that I bought last year direct from Steinberg.
Unfortunately, it was on DVD and I hadn't yet installed the DVD-RW drive that I had bought. So I pulled the computer apart and installed the new drive. Then I could finally install the software.
The license key in the sealed package that I got from Steinberg isn't recognized by the license server.
No wonder copy protection has such a bad name.
