Settling In

I decided that the better part of valor was to show up at 7 AM when they were supposed to be moving my desk. This turned out to be a good idea, as they had no idea where to move the desk to, nor where to put it once they were told which office I was going to be in.

Unfortunately, I did a bad thing with the two-wheeled dolly and rolled it backwards into my left big toe with a bookcase adding momentum. Right now, it's pretty sore, so I probably jammed it. And since there's not much to do for that than tough it out, that's what I'm doing. Walking slowly and limping a lot, but that's not so much a matter of choice at the moment.

Anyway, the sound system is hooked up, the pictures are on the wall, and I'm unpacking the boxes. One to go and a few books to move in from a bookcase that's sitting in the hall and I'll be done.

I recommend limiting your tap-dancing routines until your toe heals. All those toe-heel combinations are just too painful on a jammed toe.

Aren't you glad to have a friend like me to provide helpful suggestions? *grin*

Ooh, that's coordination. Like patting your head and rubbing your stomach: tap dancing with one foot and, umm, doing something else with the other one. Pampering it?

One of those jars of Tullybombs that I posted about this morning is heading your way even as I type. They won't help your toe feel any better, but if you eat the whole jar before Gretchen catches you, you won't care.
