Back From OVFF

daisy_knotwise and I dead-dogged last night, so we got back from OVFF about dinner time today. Naturally, since we had decided to stay over, I caught Gretchen's cold and had virtually no voice on Saturday and Sunday. *sigh*

Actually, I managed to sing a fair amount in the small room on Saturday night by being very careful and not pushing the volume. By Sunday, I was pretty much vocally shot.

Saw many friends, had a lot of good conversation, and a good time, despite the lack of voice. This probably proves something...

Actually, I though you were sounding very good at the dead dog. Though the cold would explain why I found myself thinking "gee, I haad forgotten how low his voice was."

It proves that I should have been in the same room as you on Saturday night! but that would have meant missing good stuff in the room where I was ...

I wanted to stay for the Dead Dog, but forgot to plan that beforehand w/ Jen, and since we were riding in her van and she had to teach on Monday, it pretty much wasn't an option. Bummer.

I wish I'd found y'all in the small room earlier on Saturday night... I enjoyed that more than I had the other room, right up 'til I realized that I should go to bed if I was going to have a chance of being coherent for the Sunday concert.

I was sorry I missed you at the Dead Dog - I got caught up in one of those 5-minute conversations that lasted an hour and a half. *grin*

I got some kind of con crud, I think; my head is stopped up, my throat hurts (although I think that's a combination of dehydration and the sores on the back of my throat) and my nose is running. Blurgh.

It was great to hear you and Gretchen, though - I'm looking forward to seeing you again at Windy! Yeah!
