I spent much of yesterday and essentially all of this evening trying to pull together the ISFiC Press financials for 2013, which is made more challenging by not actually having a physical inventory to check against. Why there is no physical inventory is an extremely long story, but it removes one of my favorite checksums from the process. *sigh*

In any case, I have accumulated the total physical sales of books via both wholesale and retail and computed the royalty accounts, COGS, and what should be the 2013 closing inventory value.

I also have the total wholesale sales and the total e-book sales, although I lack the shipping amounts for some of those wholesale sales that need to be invoiced. (Why there are no invoices is another long story, but I intend to fix that shortly, although if I don't find out how much the shipping was, someone -- not me -- is going to end up making a donation to our wholesale buyers of the shipping amount.)

So all I need to do is to track down the total retail sales of books for the year, pull out the sales tax, and declare victory. Fortunately, we switched over to using Square this year, so between the Square statements and the PayPal statements, I should be able to figure this out, modulo any books that were lost in the mail.

And then my personal long national nightmare will be over...
