The Cardinals clinched the NL Central before having to play their game today, as the Reds beat the Pirates 4-1 to give Johnny Cueto his 20th win.

I suppose this qualifies as backing in, but I don't really care. :)

It occurs to me that, depending on how the division series go, we may both be spending a lot of time in the ConChord/Conjecture hotel's bar... ;-)
