A Busy Day

daisy_knotwise sagely pointed out, only a couple of weeks until the summer solstice and right around local noon, we restricted the pool time to about an hour, sunscreen or no sunscreen. Sunburned little girls are not a good thing. (Nor sunburned Mommy and Daddy, but we're supposed to be old enough to know better.)
jeff_duntemann and Carol were coming over for dinner, so I went out and picked up groceries. Then Gretchen headed off to pick up a shower present for Justine and Matt's shower tomorrow. (She had intended to pick it up yesterday, but changed course when I called her and asked her to please bring me some lunch, as it was my only hope of eating, since I was still working on the demo.)
Jeff and Carol arrived shortly before Gretchen got home. They had fun playing with Katie and Julie while I started the baked potatoes. When Gretchen got back, I fired up the grill, and we had a lovely dinner.
After dinner, the girls defected to go play with their friends, so adults had time to talk, which was good. :)
Overall, a successful operation.
