Reading Is Fundamental

I'm having Katie read me a short picture book every night as practice. This goes better and worse, depending on what she thinks of the story (which she gets to pick out) and how frustrated she gets sounding out unfamiliar words. But it's progress.
Tonight, Julie also insisted on reading a book at bedtime, so she read to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
daisy_knotwise while Katie read to me.
Overall, the program was not what I'd call an unqualified success.
But that's what homework is for. :)
