billroperI went to Wrigley Field last night for the last night game of the season. Naturally, the Cubs lost, leaving intact my current scorebook's record of not seeing the Cubs beat any team except the Cardinals. This is getting to be a noticeable number of games going back to last season.
Happily, the Cubs did beat the Pirates today and the Cards beat the Nationals, so the Cards magic number is down to one with three games to go.
