Julie remains stubbornly rash-ridden this morning. She has refused to take another dose of the children's Benadryl (it makes her teeth slippery -- no, we don't understand this either), so we have given her a children's Claritin as the next best thing. And she's staying home from school today.

She's currently curled up in our bed asleep. This is good. If you're asleep, it doesn't itch.

I do -it's got a surfactant in it as an inactive ingredient.

Maybe try rinsing her mouth afterward if it's being annoying? That's what I tend to do with anything that makes my mouth feel funny.

You might luck out and find benadryl chewable or rapid melts. Michael would take the chewables when he would refuse the liquid. Now, he actually prefers the capsules.

I had the best luck finding chewables at Target; elsewhere has been hit and miss.

What kind of rash?

Yeah, I learned that when I scrolled down a little further on my Friends page, and saw your previous entry. Hope it's clearing up. (I'm sure Julie feels the same way.)
