Julie was complaining this morning that her feet itched. Given the way that she refuses to wear socks given any opportunity, I was guessing that we might want to wash them.

But then [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise told me that Julie had a rash on her chest. Uh oh. I spent a minute Googling and told Gretchen that she should call Julie's pediatrician, because -- although she'd been treated for her strep infection and was feeling better -- it was possible that she had a strep infection in her skin somehow, despite the amoxycillin she was taking. And that would be bad. Especially with FilkONtario coming up.

The good news is that the pediatrician announced that Julie has a minor case of amoxycillin rash, apparently being a bit sensitive to it. She's to stop the antibiotic (which had two days left to go) and the rash should clear up shortly.

Phew.

Whew! That's something to remember now. I hope the itchies go away quickly.

Sounds like she is allergic to that antibotic, you need to make sure she never has it again because the reaction to it gets more violent each time.

Never mind the comment I left on the other entry. The rash doesn't sound like much fun; I hope Julie gets rid of it quickly. (Yeah, I know, so do you.)
