Parent/Teacher Conferences

We had parent/teacher conferences this afternoon: one for Julie at the ELC, and one for Katie at the ELC and another for morning kindergarten. All reports were good, which was wonderful to hear.

If we ever get the girls to behave as well at home as they do at school, life will be much quieter around here. :)

We know exactly what you mean. We did our first preschool Parent/Teacher meeting for Erika in the preschool that Kristen had gone to, and our teachers kept talking about what a good kid Erika was.. Well behaved, took direction well, etc. BTW, they loved siblings, and they were Kristen's teachers when she was at that preschool.

We looked at each other, and then looked at them... and then asked them if they were really talking about Erika!..

It will get better...

I've had similar discussions with the parents of some of my students :-) I think it's a common experience...

That parent moment when someone compliments your child on being so polite, well-behaved, helpful, and neat - and you start looking around to make sure they are actually talking to you...
