What It Was Was Baseball
Jun. 20th, 2026 10:34 pmIt was a glorious day for a baseball game. Normally, I take a picture when I get to my seat, but due to a variety of entertaining factors, I didn't get there until the second batter of the game. And then I forgot.
But it was an entertaining game, even if the Cubs bullpen did extremely bad things, giving up three runs in the seventh and five in the eighth to erase a 5-0 lead.
While I was gone, Gretchen and K did yeoman's work in the dining room and the table is essentially clear. I did a sweeparound tonight to get up all of the stuff on the floor, most of which was dog hair. Lots and *lots* of dog hair.
Of course, we have two large dogs.
I picked up groceries for tomorrow on the way home, so I just need to run by Sam's Club tomorrow to grab a big bag of salad and a bag of frozen meatballs and Gretchen will have all of the parts to prepare dinner for company.
Yay!
