Premonitions
Sep. 16th, 2024 10:12 pmI slept badly last night. It must have been a premonition, because first thing this morning, I got a call from Meineke saying that the tire couldn't be repaired and that with 40K+ miles on this set of tires, I would really need to replace all four. I had been expecting to replace all of the tires soon. I just hadn't expected to replace them today. I said to go ahead.
Unfortunately, they were backed up at the shop. I called while Gretchen and I were at lunch and they said the car would be ready within an hour. That sounded reasonable, so I grabbed stuff we needed at Sam's Club and then had Gretchen drop me off at the shop. Sadly, it was somewhat more than two hours after that initial phone call that the car was finally ready. Ah, well.
As a result of the lousy sleep, I was really short on energy today at work. However, we still made some progress and I expect to make more tomorrow.
