I bought a seven inch tablet for daisy_knotwise. This will make it possible for her to do quick Internet checks downstairs when she needs to.

It will also allow Katie and Julie to play Angry Birds. :) (Well, only "Rio" and "Space", because for some reason the other versions are showing up as incompatible with this device. I suppose I could root it. But maybe not on the first day that we own it...)

You don't mention brand, but with a nook (Color for sure, maybe Tablet as well) you can install an OS on an SDHC card and boot from there without risking the new toy. Take the card out and you're back on the manufacturer's OS.
