Tiringly Little

It is amazing how little one can get done on a miserably hot day.

On the other hand, I managed to get lunch, shop at Trader Joe's and Sam's Club, and get two loads of laundry done.

I also took K out for her first practice drive in quite some time. This was also her first drive on actual streets. It was only 15 minutes or so, but the journey of a thousand miles and all that...

(This was also K's first drive with me as the instructor. Contrary to early opinions, everyone lived through it.)

I am trying to remember if I saw the phrase "lithokinetic deceleration" somewhere yesterday with reference to the Russian Luna 25 probe or if I conjured it up out of whole cloth.
