Garage Mania
Dec. 17th, 2022 09:29 pmIt was pretty darn cold outside today. Inside the garage, it was warmer, if for no other reason than that the door was closed and we were out of the wind.
As could have been predicted, the garage is not yet cleaned out. On the other hand, we have found the missing metal Santa Claus. We have also recycled some dead boxes and sent a number of boxes up to K so that she can pack up various things in her room to prepare to paint it. (I will believe this when I see it.)
There are a number of items that have been sent to the back of my car to be donated to charity. More will be following.
We gave away the old (huge) dollhouse that has been sitting in a box on a shelf in the garage for 25+ years waiting for someone to paint and furnish it.
And the empty boxes / boxes to be saved have been dispatched from the top of Mount McGuire, exposing the layer of cruft that has been dumped from various vehicles on top of the boxes that form the bedrock. I am told that I should bring the cruft into the house and to the kitchen table to be sorted into keep, donate, and trash piles, which I intend to do when there is a square inch of kitchen table that is uncovered, because there are already a number of things that have migrated there.
The area in front of the shelves on the back wall of the garage is *also* largely clear, which is good, because we're going to need access to those shelves.
