A Pleasant Surprise

The Cardinals beat the Yankees 1-0 tonight as they made a first inning run stand up for the duration. Thus, they have won the first two games of the series and six games in a row. Meanwhile, the Brewers lost to the Reds tonight which allowed the Cardinals to take a one game lead in the NL Central.

Yay!

Meanwhile, the Cubs have vaulted into a tie for third place in the NL Central, but being 15.5 games back, they have a few games to make up.
