Bits and Pieces
Jun. 29th, 2022 01:01 pmI'm off to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game tonight with a friend of mine from work, so I decided that it was time to have a large lunch. Red Robin is running a $10 burger bundle that includes fries and a drink right now, so it seemed a good choice.
On the way there, I discovered that Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ in Elk Grove Village has closed permanently and the restaurant is up for sale. It's a shame, as we really used to like the place, although we felt that it wasn't as good lately as it had been when we first started going there. Or maybe it was just the Kodachrome effect.
On the way back, I discovered that the concrete cutters are out on Oakton St. between Elmhurst and Mt. Prospect, so there is about to be some serious (and likely long-lived) construction there. Another street to add to my list of places to avoid.
