Mystery Tree
Dec. 5th, 2021 08:05 pmOur favorite Christmas tree lot vanished into the ether a couple of years ago (pre-COVID) and I have been lately reduced to buying our Christmas tree at Home Depot. This isn't a terrible choice, but when we went there between rain showers this afternoon, the selection of trees sitting in the stalls was sad.
On the other hand, over on some pallets was a large selection of trees, still all tied up in twine from when they were shipped to the store. I looked at the cut ends of the trees, picked out one that was tall enough and looked sufficiently wide at the base to be reasonably mature, and gave it to Julie to hold while I went to get a cart to haul it away on.
The mystery tree is now safely installed and watered in its stand. We will see what it looks like tomorrow when the branches finish coming down.
It is, at least, substantially smaller than Treezilla.
