Will It Go Round In Circles?
Jun. 8th, 2020 10:44 pmThis was not a greatly successful day. I got very little done at work today due to a succession of blind alleys that have (at least) been resolved.
Meanwhile, the Dell laptop that was victimized by the Gatorade spill will no longer charge. This may mean that I need to replace the power jack, which is possible, but complex. I have ordered a new power jack, which should show up eventually. In the meantime, I have tried every other solution short of either buying a new charger or battery. (The battery shows up fine in the Dell diagnostics. It's just empty.)
At least I know how to take the bottom off of the case now. That's because I ended up replacing the CMOS battery. And turning off the drive encryption that was requiring me to enter the Bitlocker key on every restart.
*sheesh*
