Gretchen had really wanted to go out to Chuy's for lunch yesterday. I suggested that was not really my preference, given that it was likely to be crowded.
Then the Governor announced that the sit-down restaurants would be closed after today and Gretchen announced that she was going to Chuy's for lunch today. I was good with this. I anticipated a tiny lunch crowd and I was correct. We were in the patio area in what was essentially our own private dining room.
The food was good. The company was good.
When I walked out into the parking lot to go back to the car, I looked at the vast, mostly empty spaces around Woodfield Mall and thought to myself, "It looks like the plague hit."
And then I went, "Oh. I guess it did."
