The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Dec. 2nd, 2019 09:53 pmAfter a *lot* of very tedious work to implement an extremely invasive change to the code base, I was finally able to get everything to compile today and start the smoke test to find out what I broke.
Smoke, naturally, appeared immediately. I couldn't even get the product to run.
But after a couple of iterations, it looks like all of the smoke has cleared on the C++ side of the world. More testing is, of course, in order.
Tomorrow, I'll smoke test the Java code. And then make sure that the C++ and the Java code interoperate correctly. If all that works, it will be ready for a QA cycle to see if they can turn up any buglets.
I am encouraged.
