And Then The Heavens Opened Up
Jul. 18th, 2015 09:09 pmWe had planned to go to the pool this afternoon. But there was a tornado watch. And then the skies to the northwest darkened ominously.
This was followed shortly thereafter by horizontal rain.
I mean, seriously horizontal. Horizontal like I haven't seen in a very long time and usually only in the context of a typhoon.
Fortunately, it didn't last long.
It did, however, continue raining off and on until after 5 PM. There was a banner up on the park district site from 3:45 PM indicating that the pools were closed while they were waiting out the storm. So when it was bright and sunny at 6 PM and the banner had come down, we got dressed and headed out to the pool.
Which was closed.
*sigh* People unclear on the concept. If you can put a banner up indicating that the pool is closed temporarily, you should be able to put one up that says it's closed for the rest of the day.
Apparently not.
