Take Me Home From the Ballgame
Jul. 23rd, 2014 10:29 pmIt was chilly for July at Wrigley Field, but that wasn't why I left early.
It was more that the Cubs were playing the Padres, so there were two miserable teams on the field. And the Cubs were losing. And no pitcher could locate the strike zone, so heading to the bottom of the fifth, it was also heading toward 9:30 PM.
Thus, I figured that I would head home and not have to fight crowds on the way out, arriving home in time to put little girls to bed instead of some time around midnight.
I have been informed, however, in no uncertain terms that Katie and Julie will not be going to bed until Girl vs. Monster is over.
Ah, well.
