A Christmas Dinner

samwinolj, Bonnie, daisy_knotwise, and me over for Christmas dinner tonight. Steph was able to baby sit and -- remarkably! -- both little girls let us leave without complaint, despite Julie having spent much of the preceding day telling Gretchen "I don't want you to leave me, Mommy." Apparently, Katie did a good sales job, because we left with a smile and a hug from Julie and returned to the same. :)
Dinner was lovely. A good time was had by all and I'm seriously considering the use of pesto on broccoli as a result of the broiled vegetables that Jerry prepared.
Yum!
(And there was uninterrupted adult conversation. Wow!)
