I had been trying to avoid implementing a particular feature in the rewrite that I've been doing at work, because it was implemented poorly originally and it would be a fair amount of work to get it up and running in the new environment. Unfortunately, it finally got to the point where it was worth spending a day to implement the feature so that I could avoid doing analysis on the transactions that used the old version of the feature.

I still have to update code, but I can update it much more easily now, because I can just plug and play.
