WaveLab Adventures
Oct. 3rd, 2010 06:14 pmSo having gone back to square one with the new version of WaveLab on Walkabout, I decided to batch process the sample rate conversion. This failed dismally on the first attempt, but after rebooting the computer, everything behaved. It probably had something to do with installing Windows updates around the first batch conversion.
Now I'm going through and applying noise reduction -- because this was originally mastered for cassette, a format that covered up a multitude of sins! And I'm learning how to get around in this version, which is just a bit different than the older one.
Another couple hours of studio time and I should have this cleaned up. Unfortunately, I don't see how I'm going to get this done in time for OVFF, given what's going on at work this week.
But I think I'd rather have it "right" than "done".
Well, I'd rather have it "both", but that's not an option given the time available. So "both" will just be a little later. :)
