Little Girl Stories
Jun. 23rd, 2010 12:00 amYesterday's late night excitement involved Katie finding a pair of scissors in a drawer in our bathroom and deciding to cut her own hair. It appears that not a lot of hair was actually removed and there are no obvious gaps. The scissors have been removed to an undisclosed location.
Earlier tonight, I was reading a new Tigger & Pooh book to Katie and Julie. There are lists of vocabulary words on the back cover of the book, so I pointed to the first word on one of the lists and asked Katie what it was.
"I don't know."
"That's Pooh. P-O-O-H, Pooh. What's that?" I said, pointing to the next word on the list.
"Tigger!"
"That's right! What's that?"
"Darby!"
"That's right! What's that?"
"Buster!"
"That's right! What's that?"
"Piglet!"
"That's right! What's that?"
Silence.
"That's Piglets." (There were multiple Piglets in the story.)
We tried it again later. She didn't get any of them right. Daddy scratches his head.
And after I told Katie a story tonight, she told me the story of how a crocodile ate the van with Mommy and Katie and Julie inside and Daddy came to rescue them.
That was one big damn crocodile! :)
