Here Comes the Sun
Sep. 15th, 2009 09:34 pmWe dropped by Mitch and Debbie's today where we chatted with Debbie for a bit, then headed out to lunch with Mitch. After recovering the last of the CDs for the con from the Post Office, Mitch went back to work and we went back to the hotel with the girls. When the sun came streaming in through a window, we decided to take them down to the courtyard to run around, then decided that I'd go upstairs and change and we'd take Katie into the pool. She had a fine time, although Julie was very jealous. The pool's a bit deep for her, but
daisy_knotwise will try taking her in tomorrow if the weather holds.
Tonight we went over to the mall where we took Katie and then Julie riding on the carousel. Julie hadn't been on the carousel before and proceeded to fuss each time as she was strapped in -- right until the horse started moving up and down as the carousel revolved. Katie never did get on a horse, as she was having too much fun in the spinning wheel.
Personally, I was just trying to make sure I didn't get motion sickness. :)
In and around this, I had dinner from the Dickey's Barbecue Pit in the food court. This was easily the best barbecue that I've had in a food court. When I noticed they had banana pudding, I got some for the girls. Katie mostly ignored it, as she was concerned with getting back on the carousel, but Julie liked it a lot, especially when she took my waffle fries and dipped them in the pudding. Yum!
