Bugs, Mr. Rico! Zillions of 'em!
Aug. 25th, 2009 03:34 pm*sigh* Here we go again.
So my buddy who works at one of our partners drops me an e-mail and says that he's got a client on version X of our product and asks me about an old feature that we used to have when he worked here. As it happens, we completely rewrote that feature several years ago so that it stores its data in easy-to-digest XML format, which is a good thing.
I went to check this out in the about-to-ship patch to version X and discovered:
You can't export the XML, because there's a mismatch between the resource file and the code.
Even if you could export the XML, you can't import it, because the menu item has been disabled by mistake.
My buddy reports that this does work in version X-minus-one.
Oh, good. I didn't imagine it.
