Working at Home
Apr. 24th, 2009 04:25 pmSo I figured I'd try downloading the new VPN client software for work to see if it had any VPN portals that were closer in terms of hops to the big network router that most of the development traffic goes through. It doesn't look like there are.
I did, however, succeed in completely losing my ability to connect to my desktop at work for a while, although the VPN was running fine. I went out for lunch, came back, and the problem had cleared up.
I love networking.
Meanwhile, I couldn't quite get a ping back from the Moon in the time that it's taking to ping my desktop. Actually, it's about 700 milliseconds.
Which is, in my opinion, too long.
