Home Again

And I'm back, having made the trip home from Ada in record time (for me, anyway), despite two stops and pea soup fog in Laporte County, which apparently still had bunches of lake-effect snow on the ground, unlike the rest of the route.

I had a fine time, but it's good to be home. And it was really amusing to watch Katie's batteries run out as she fell asleep face down on the couch. :)

Home Again

And I'm back, having made the trip home from Ada in record time (for me, anyway), despite two stops and pea soup fog in Laporte County, which apparently still had bunches of lake-effect snow on the ground, unlike the rest of the route.

I had a fine time, but it's good to be home. And it was really amusing to watch Katie's batteries run out as she fell asleep face down on the couch. :)

Heavy Lifting

This afternoon, I shuffled the two couches in the pool room downstairs. Then I put the cue rack back in its new spot on the wall. daisy_knotwise knows about this. She also knows about the two full video racks full of paperbacks I carried to the basement while still loaded, because it was a lot faster than emptying them and refilling them.

What she doesn't yet know is that I've moved the highboy from the girls' bedroom into the guest bedroom, moved the recliner chair from the office into the girls' bedroom, and then moved the shelf full of toys from the guest bedroom into the girls' bedroom.

I also attached the last pull chain back to the repaired light fixture on the ceiling fan.

Gretchen will know all of this shortly though, as I've reached the point where I can't go further without her help to sort out the mess. :)

Right now, I'm sitting down for a few minutes.
