daisy_knotwise has returned safely from Penguicon. And there was much rejoicing.

Sales were low enough that we will probably not try the con again. (Ok, sales have frequently been low due to the economy. These were really low. They made this year's Capricon look good...)

Given the fact that artists couldn't sell their own merch due to hotel rules, and Dodeka was truely the only game in town, that's very surprising. However there was also a new music head and the music track was much less filkish and much more nerdcore.

I'm going to talk with the music head about trying to reach out to both communities. This was his first year, and I give him a lot of credit for what he was actually about to put together in 3 months.
