The Indians, sadly, didn't have enough to get it done.

As a result, I find that I'll be rooting for the Colorado Rockies in the World Series for two reasons.

1) I said during their one-game playoff against the Padres that the rest of the NL had to be rooting for the Padres, because no one wanted to play the Rockies right now.

2) We've had a remarkable run without a repeating World Series champ in the last few years. Why start now?

3) (So I can't count.) The Red Sox payroll is beginning to have far too great a resemblance to the Yankees payroll for my taste.
