The fellow brought the CPM machine out to the house this morning. This device will move my leg through a predetermined range to help restore the original range of motion. He also fixed up the fit on my current knee brace, although we also talked to the doc and determined that I didn't have to wear it unless I were to do something strenuous, like leave the house. The custom brace will have to wait until the Substantial swelling goes down.

I'm supposed to do four to six hours on the machine each day. I made it to four hours and ten minutes today before the chunk, chunk of the machine pushed the bed away from the headboard and left my pillow embedded in the crack. Oops! Naturally, this happened while [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise was out shopping...

I did call into work, answer e-mails, diff some new source (which I had to call and complain about), and sat through the group's weekly scheduling conference call. This wasn't too bad.

But -- as predicted -- I'm really tired. And now Sam is back to install the banisters.

And I'm going to take a nap. Drill or no drill.

(Think that there's a game show in that?)
