The banquet went well. Later in the evening, we had a mini-filk with Nate, Louie, Gretchen, Mark, Jan, and Sue. Now we're back home and going to get some sleep before the con rolls into serious action.

A Minor Matter of a Flood

daisy_knotwise just called. Apparently, the store that we were going to rent our helium tanks for WindyCon from had a water main break and is closed for at least several hours, possibly the rest of the day.

At least we don't need the helium until tomorrow.

Lurching Toward WindyCon

daisy_knotwise and I got some lunch. Then she took the loaded van on its way to pick up the last few items we need for the con. I just finished revising the script for Opening Ceremonies and am printing copies. Now I get to update the inventory list, pack up the laptop (free WiFi if you've signed up for Wyndham by Request), and head to the con myself.

We note that we seem to be inordinately busy leading up to a con where we have, in theory, very few official duties. On the other hand, being sick for a few weeks slows you down.
