Christmas Presents

My lawyer called today to report that after the expenditure of somewhere between $6K and $10K of legal fees on our side (which will *eventually* be paid by my father's trust) and who knows how much on Connie's side (but I think her lawyer was doing this as a favor for a good client, so he's really been suffering on this one), Connie has finally signed the paperwork that has allowed us to *give* her our father's house in Belleville, Illinois so that we are no longer responsible for it.

And there was much rejoicing throughout the land.
