So I thought I'd write an "End of the World" song for the FilkONtario songwriting contest coming up next weekend. I finished it tonight, typed it up, tried it out on daisy_knotwise, and decided that it was good.

And then I clicked back to the FKO website to check the rules. And the songwriting contest topic for this year is "End of Time".

Oh. Never mind.

Thud, thud, thud.

Well, I've still got a week.

What you should do now is write a song about having written a song on the wrong subject, and submit it to the ConCertino song contest.

ConCertino's contest theme is "NOT the end of the world."

Obviously, in a time line a couple of spaces over, the topic IS "The End of the World", and the fact that filker's brains are picking up signals between time lines is a sign of the fact that the time stream is breaking up and will soon in fact be bringing about the end of time.
