Marching Through Spring

The weather around here is not very springlike -- at least not early spring. Instead, it's like we've jumped ahead a month to mid to late April and are enjoying wonderful, wonderful weather. The ceiling fans have been reversed and turned on, window fans are plugged into the windows, little girls are riding their bicycles and drawing on the driveway with chalk.

And the nights are cool and dark for sleep.

This will all slip away before too long, either to the heat of summer or back to cold. But for now, things are very nearly perfect.
