Happy Valentine's Day!

daisy_knotwise, Katie, and Julie to the little girls' favorite restaurant for lunch.
That would be the McDonald's with the Play Place near our home. *sigh* However, it was cleaning lady day, so it was good to get them out of the way while Miss Yolanda finished up around here.
Dinner was late, as we discovered that our favorite carry-out Chinese place was crushed by the holiday. Usually, the food is ready in 15 minutes. This time, it was 45 minutes. And since I escaped from work rather later than I had in mind due to a late emergency meeting...
But lovely valentines were exchanged over lunch, the girls were excited, Gretchen was happy, Katie enjoyed the Valentine's Day party in preschool, so I'm going to count this as a success.
Well, other than the fat lip that Julie managed to give Gretchen with a head butt. Apparently, it bled spectacularly, to the point where Katie wouldn't look at it.
I think any scheduled kissing tonight will be postponed until a later date when Gretchen comes off the disabled list.
