I found some incredibly convoluted code that broke under the stress of putting in an updated third-party library. While I have no idea exactly how the new library broke the code, it turns out that all of the convolutions were there because of something that could be fixed with one line of code.

I have inserted the correct code, removed the convolutions, and everything works correctly now.

*sigh* Somebody needs to Read The Fine Manual. :)
