Oh, you mean Dennis? He's a pretty nice guy, actually. I've been on a few panels with him at MFF. He does hold rather strong opinions, however, I get some idea of why he's "transformed" himself. It's also funny how after talking with him for a few minutes, I tend to forget that this is unusual. (You know you've been in fandom when ...)
Dennis is very well know in Furry Fandom, we see him on the circuit. We had to do escort duty with him one year at Anthrocon, he was drawing quite a crowd, probably after one of his appearences on "Ripley's" or various cable shows.
The guy's own web site doesn't display anything except "click here to download the plug-in", and I don't download plug-ins from random web sites about strange people.
The article tends to make me think he's several fries short of a happy meal, but I assume it's intended to. The one detail that really makes me think he's a doof, assuming it's accurate, is that it says he makes a point of wearing contact lenses that give the appearance of a slit pupil. Tigers do not have slit pupils, a fact which is obvious to anyone who actually spends time with them.
Speaking as (I trust) the most tiger-obsessed person reading this entry, I have to say that while I would find genuinely transforming into a tiger very interesting, I just don't get the point of this cosmetic stuff.
sadly, he really is only unusual in the whisker mods - everything else i've seen done before - saw a segment about him on cable... seems like a nice enough guy, just a tad obsessed...
