I have never seen an IDE as badly broken as Visual Studio .NET 2003. The people who developed this should be ashamed of themselves.

Can you tell that I've had a bad day?

Oh dear.

I knew it was bad when they broke VB with .NET -- it was one of the things that drove me into unemployment-slouching-towards-retirement.

But the 2003 version is worse???

Ed says "tell Bill to email me!" (ed at same domain as me).

He uses it and seems basically happy with it.

Oh, gads. Memory inflation strikes, eh?

Are you converting an old VB6 app, perchance?

:-( :-( :-(

... yes, nearly the same.

My sincerest condolences.

But perhaps you can think of it as job security. :-/
