I picked up my new Godin Multiac Jazz from Guitar Works yesterday. It ended up being an even swap for my Les Paul, which was fine by me. I plugged the new guitar into a blues amp at the store and was happy to hear just how much this guitar sounded like it was my guitar, as opposed to the Les Paul, which had always sounded like somebody else ought to be playing it.

When I got it home, [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise was delighted by the flame maple top. And I plugged it into the amp at home where it still sounded just fine. Later, I plugged it into the Roland GR-33 guitar synth where it frequently sounded weird, but I'm not used to playing notes and getting the sound of a piano key being hit or an a cappella jazz scat singer coming out of the amp.
