I can't tell you for sure that these ground-level photos of the arriving tsunami in Thailand are genuine (because photoshopping is always a possibility), but they're very frightening.

I believe 'em. There are some amateur videos of the tsunami online, and they are terrifying. Here's a bunch of 'em (http://jlgolson.blogspot.com/2004/12/tsunami-video.html), but they are not for the faint of heart.
