Lights, Mr. Rico! Zillions of 'em!

daisy_knotwise and I usually try to go out to look at Christmas lights sometime before Christmas. With the general chaos of this Christmas season, we went out tonight.

I remembered an article in the Chicago Tribune about a neighborhood in Lincolnwood that's gone light-happy. The article had shuffled off to the for-pay archive, but the abstract had enough information for me to use Mapquest to locate the neighborhood.

For reference of anyone in Chicagoland who's interested, it's the neighborhood between Pratt and Devon on the west side of the Edens Expressway, particularly the north-south street closest, but many of the cross streets as well. (And a lot of slow moving cars...)

Oh, Sauganash! They've been like that for the last 20 years, at least. When I lived in the city, I went there every year.
