Let It Snow!

Let it snow in southwest Michigan and northwest Indiana, that is. They're expecting 10 inches of snow there tonight. (I almost typed 10 feet, which would have been a truly spectacular amount of snow.)

This is currently of interest to us as tarkrai is headed here on the train. If the snow doesn't delay things, we pick him up at the Des Plaines terminal at 11 PM. If it does, well...

Cool! There's almost enough to go sledding on now. Technically there is, but I like to have a foot or so on the ground, because the hills get pretty beat up around here by all the kids running on them.

We discovered the really long and fast runs, a quarter-mile walk from the main sledding hills, last year. Good fun. Tom still isn't totally in to the "getting your face plastered with snow and a couple good handfuls of snow down your front is fun!!" mentality; he waived off on the big hill after the first good wipeout last year. We'll see how he does this year. In general he gets totally into it. He and I had a good time whomping those chicken-s*** high schoolers last year :-)
