Slutty Christmas Bear

daisy_knotwise was walking through the grocery store with Katie in the cart. A stuffed squirrel caught her eye and Gretchen picked it up off the shelf to discover that when you pressed its foot, it would dance and sing "I'm Gettin' Nuttin' for Christmas", waving the acorn that it held in its paws. Gretchen was delighted. Katie was more delighted. The squirrel came home with them and has frequently been presented to us by Katie with the implied request of "Make it dance!"
When I was doing some Christmas shopping down at Frys, I found a provocatively dressed teddy bear (yes, I know that's a frightening concept) that would dance and sing to "Santa Baby" when you pressed her paw. I decided this would make an excellent Christmas present for Gretchen. Gretchen was delighted. So was Katie.
It is a sign that we have been watching too much How I Met Your Mother that we have named the bear, "Slutty Christmas Bear". Katie doesn't yet know what this means -- the bear may decide to fall apart under too much loving before Katie figures it out.
Tonight, Katie brought me Slutty Christmas Bear to play with. She's figured out where to press on the bear to get it to sing -- not too hard, as it's a marked circle. But her little thumb can't quite manage it. So when I was slacking off, she grabbed my thumb and put it on the circle.
