If Katie is trying to read Belly Button Book by the light of the blue glowing numerals belonging to the digital alarm clock on the nightstand when I'm trying to get her to go to sleep, then the alarm clock is too darned bright.

And is now face down. As is Katie. :)

All alarm clocks are too bright. I do not understand what the makers are thinking.

They're thinking the main purpose of an alarm clock is to wake your groggy ass up! Bright lights and noise are a potent combo for that.

That would be fine if it only lit up when the alarm went off. What they're really doing is keeping me awake all night, making it harder to get up in the morning.
