According to this article, a medieval manuscript that had already yielded up other more ancient documents has now been found to contain at least part of a commentary on Aristotle.

That is incredible. So are the time-spans involved for the materials. The palimpsest website says at least one of the books cannibalized is from the 4th C. BCE. I dare anyone to use modern paper 1700 years after it was first made!

Interesting. We don't have a lot of commentaries on the Categories, so it'll be interesting to see what people have to say.
